Dr. Chayse Haldane
she/her
I am a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in various addictions and mental health settings. I have a Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta, one of the few accredited Counselling Psychology programs in Canada. At Willow, I provide individual therapy to teens (13+) and adults.
My approach to counselling is relationship-focused, action-oriented and includes a healthy dose of humour. Using a genuine, non-judgmental, and caring stance, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where my clients feel safe and comfortable. I believe each individual has inherent strength and wisdom, so I collaborate with my clients to find intervention approaches that build on what they are already doing. I see myself as being on the same team as my clients, working together to meet their goals. In order to find individually tailored and effective interventions, I frequently check in with my clients about their response to treatment and preferences. Directed by this feedback, I am flexible with my approach and allow my clients to set the pace and direction of our work.
