I am a Registered Psychologist in Edmonton with over a decade of experience providing counselling services. I currently offer counselling services for adults and teens (ages 13-17). Originally from Los Angeles, California, I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counselling and my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). During my doctoral internship at the St. Louis Veteran’s Health Administration Hospital, I focused exclusively on assisting U.S. military Veterans. Following the internship, I pursued a post-doctorate experience to undergo specialized training in evidence-based treatment and assessment. In addition to my clinical work, I have published research in areas including substance use and gender identity.

While I have assumed numerous positions within the mental health sphere, my most important role is as an advocate on the front line, offering a hands-on approach. Being in the arena allows me to remain privy to the lived experiences of those I work with clinically. As a White, straight, cisgender woman with able-bodied privilege, I aim to stay aware of the privileges I hold and strive to be an ally to sexual and gender minorities, diverse ethnic/racial backgrounds, and people with different abilities.
My approach is action-based, which often looks like collaborating with clients to formulate game plans to reach their goals in therapy. I encourage clients to try out new coping and self-care strategies and enjoy providing resources (podcasts, articles, books, etc.) on the topics we discuss in the session to explore outside of counselling. I find that the work we do outside of counselling can expedite the gains we make in therapy. I offer a warm, attentive, and authentic approach in session, often adding a sprinkle of humour when necessary. Outside of the office, I am passionate about volunteering with harm-reduction agencies, including working with individuals who are unhoused and experiencing substance use disorders.
