I am a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience as a helping professional working with individuals and couples in a range of settings including post-secondary counselling, health care, and not-for-profit. I am thrilled to join the collaborative and client-centred group at Willow Psychology. I work with adults and couples with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship and parenting challenges, and questions of work and career.

My primary aim with clients is to build a supportive relationship where you feel heard and understood with compassion. I approach my work with cultural humility and a spirit of collaboration. I believe the therapy space should provide a supportive jumping off point to implement changes in life and relationships, and so will work with you to set goals and check in regularly to make sure we are on track.

I work from a broadly humanistic and positive psychology perspective; I believe all individuals have strengths and resources within that we can access and build on to create more satisfying ways of living. I also have advanced training in a variety of research informed therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based therapies.

Originally from Ontario, I completed my Masters and PhD in Counselling Psychology at the University of Victoria. I have been fortunate to live, work, and raise my family here in Treaty 6 Territory since 2017. In addition to my practice with Willow Psychology I also teach and supervise therapists in training, and conduct research on issues of mental health and career-life.
